7. Sachse is a Tree City USA City. What does this mean?

Sachse's Parks and Recreation Department began working toward the Tree City USA designation in 2008. In order to be a Tree City USA City, Sachse had to meet four standards established by The Arbor Day Foundation. These standards include: creating a Tree Board; adopting a Tree Care Ordinance; developing a Community Program; and an Arbor Day Observance and Proclamation.
